November 21, 2025 – Reinke proudly presented a donation to Blue Valley Community Action, an organization dedicated to helping families in our local area and making a positive impact in the communities. Chris Roth, President at Reinke presented the donation to Ryan Bailey, BVCA Family & Community Services Director.

Reinke has supported the BVCA mission for a considerable time, either by gathering coats given by the employees or making a cash donation. Companies in rural areas lend assistance when it is needed, whether it’s in their own neighborhood or the surrounding communities.  Many times there are services taking place that many people are not aware of – except – the persons who may be receiving the services. Such is the case with Blue Valley Community Action. Many of us are familiar with the name and associate it with Thayer County or Hebron, Nebraska. But, that is just a small snippet of what is taking place with this organization.

Blue Valley Community Action Partnership works with communities to develop programs and activities, in an effort to eliminate the causes of poverty and improve said conditions within their service area. They are resourceful and innovative in new ways to use funding, in addition to calling upon local, state and national resources for programs and activities needed to motivate individuals to create opportunities for self-support.  

The BVCA promise is to change people’s lives, embody the spirit of hope, improve communities, and make America a better place to live. They care about the entire community, and are dedicated to helping people help themselves and each other. The BVCA service area extends across 17counties in Nebraska and 1 in Iowa. Counties close to Reinke are Thayer, Jefferson, Gage, Fillmore &Saline.  

Reinke Manufacturing in Deshler, Nebraska understands this promise. They support not only Deshler and Thayer County, but a number of other areas. You see, Reinke’s workforce comes from a number of counties in Nebraska and Kansas. It is important for Reinke to support the communities and activities in those areas, as they appreciate the employees who make the journey to work.  

Support from Reinke is given through different projects, such as the Thayer County K-9 initiative to fight crime, local licensed childcare providers, offering a number of weld programs for high school students and adults, and housing options. They are committed to workforce development and technical education in local communities.

The variety of services offered through Blue Valley Community Action is mind-blowing. To name a few, low-income home energy assistance, foster grandparent program, food pantries, Head Start program, to scholarship opportunities. They are available to help persons and communities with their services.
